The Keys

There are simple keys to living a life of happiness and peace here:

1.  Desire.  First you must say, “I want to be happy, more than anything else in the world” and make this desire the central focus of your life. Without this desire, happiness will elude you because it is only another passing fancy.

2.  Willingness.  Imagine you go to a restaurant and eat the best cake you’ve ever eaten.  It is heavenly.  You decide you’d like to make this cake yourself, on your own, and you ask the chef for the recipe to bake the exact same cake, she gives you the recipe, and it calls for you to mix eggs and flour with your hands.  ”I don’t want to get my hands all covered in eggs and flour,” you say, and so you never even try to make the recipe.  In the same way, you must be willing to follow the steps to happiness if you want happiness, not insert your own methods, or reject the proper steps.

3.  Discipline.  You have followed the whims of your master — your ego and selfishness — with devotion, and it has led you to unhappiness.  Now you must use the same devotion to a new master — peaceful thinking — if you truly want peace.  You must discipline your thoughts, and all of your life circumstances will harmonize with your newfound way of thinking.

The tools in the “Training” section of this website are here to be utilized, and I recommend you start with them all simultaneously, as they integrate completely.  Scholarships available based on financial need.
