He put his life where his mouth was…

raft2_1550174cHappy 100th birthday to Thor Heyerdahl, the guy who sailed a handmade raft from South America to Polynesia in 1947, just to prove it could have possibly have been done in ancient times (made famous in the film “Kon-tiki”).

I think I would like to have an epitaph like this guy.  Maybe he is only famous because he survived, but what conviction he had.  The guy had a family back home in Norway.  He followed his dream, he followed his mission.  When was the last time you put it on all the line for something you believed in, that maybe very few other people believed in, but that you knew was good and right?
